Fresh Bagels, Real Flavors, Every Morning

"I've been going here for well over a decade and what I can say is the bagels are great and that has not changed. Unfortunately, the customer service doesn't seem to be heading in the right direction. I recently went there to purchase a little over 2 dozen bagels for work. When I got to work I found out I was given less then 2 dozen. It's not a short drive from my job so it's not worth me driving back. Mistakes happen, so I called in to see if this could be resolved in some way in the future. I was informed it was ok because I was only charged for 2 dozen bagels. They also tried to ensure me that they counted the 2 dozen correctly.... So, I got charged less, but still ended up with less bagels then I was charged for. At the end of the day, I had to go to another bagel place since I kind of needed what I ordered for my co-workers. I wasn't originally planning to leave a review, but after seeing similar experiences mentioned by other customers, I felt it was worth sharing. This is the second time something like this has happened to me in the last few months. The first time, I was able to have the issue corrected at the cafe."

"I'm a repeat customer. They easily make the best tasting breakfast sandwiches in the area. I habitually get a Taylor Ham, egg, and cheese on a bagel. I enjoy the egg over easy which is accepted as being served with set egg whites and a runny yolk. The last time I got this sandwich the egg was under cooked and the white was not set. It was well underdone to where I would not want to eat it. No problem though, we brought it inside to get it remedied. The employee was insistent that over easy eggs should have whites that are not set, and that this underdone sandwich was how they serve them. The only way they were willing to remedy the situation was to purchase an entirely new sandwich. I find this to be an example of poor customer service and not a best practice for retaining a strong and loyal customer base. I hope to come back, but this experience has left me more than a little put off. EDIT: I appreciate the owner's prompt reply. I stay in Summit several nights a week and would love to come by to make it right. How do we DM??"

"Bagels are decent. Strawberry cream cheese is really good here. But I don’t go there anymore because they seem to nickle and dime you. I had bought a dozen bagels there, tipped them well, came home feeling happy, checked the receipt and saw that they had charged me 20¢ per bagel extra for slicing the bagel in half. It was not the matter of money, it just felt unfriendly."

"The bagels are great. The service is terrible. This is the third time I have bought food here and got the food home to find something was missing from my order. Once it was a dozen mini bagels, today it was a muffin. Make sure you check your bag in the store because the kids behind the counter are not great at large orders. Also, if you get here after 11:00 am, expect very low inventory on bagels. Basically expect plain and everything and not much else in between. The store is clean and the french toast bagels are excellent."

"Clean and spacious. Has a back and front door, great for cold and raining days. Tried cinnamon raisin bagel, toasted with butter. My typical bagel for new places, did not disappoint but not as good compared to other places. I went later in the morning and most bagels were out. It was on the chewier end and more $$ compared to other places. I’d be back to try other bagels. Service was mediocre. Grab and go, get coffee at other stores nearby!"
